| Idler’s
Rest Beach Hotel, located in Black River, St. Elizabeth, is a boutique
hotel that opened its doors in January 2007. Easily accessible,
it sits approximately 45 miles from Montego Bay, 75km miles from
Negril. Transfers to and from the Montego Bay airport may be arranged
at a nominal cost. Owned and managed by an attorney-at-law, Idler’s
Rest attracts visitors mostly from North America and Europe.
Idler's Rest is a place to recharge...to think and to reconnect
with oneself in this peaceful part of Jamaica's south coast. For
visitors looking for the quieter side of Jamaica, the hotel's understated
elegance serves as the only reminder that convenience and luxury
have not been sacrificed.
The long days can be spent lying on the secluded beach, or strolling
the almost 4 miles of meandering beach and inlets. An option, of
course, is to travel up the river to view the crocodiles in their
natural habitat, or watch the undulating motion of the dolphins,
early each evening."
